Employment & Labour LawWoody has practiced in St. Catharines since he was called to the bar in 1976, focusing largely on administrative and labour relations work for public and private sector clients. Earlier in his career he handled civil and criminal litigation and served part-time as an Assistant Crown Attorney and federal prosecutor. He has been counsel to the Regional Municipality of Niagara Police Services Board since 1993, advising on labour relations, collective bargaining, arbitrations, and human rights matters. He also acted for the former Region of Haldimand-Norfolk during its transition to Ontario Provincial Police coverage and continues to advise Haldimand County on labour and First Nations issues. Woody is also counsel to the Peterborough Police Services Board. He holds a law degree and a B.A. from the University of Windsor.
