About William

William Roy is a Montreal criminal defence lawyer who founded what is now Corbeil Demchuck Roy, Avocats. He completed a law degree at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2009 and the Barreau's professional training program in 2010, then articled with Roxane Hamelin at Hamelin Bourgon, Avocats before practising there as a lawyer. He later founded his own practice under the name Me William Roy, Avocat, and was subsequently a partner at Linteau Soulière et Associés, Avocats (renamed BLP Avocats Inc. in 2021), before founding Corbeil Demchuck Roy, Avocats with Me Corbeil and Me Demchuck. Since 2012 he has collaborated with veteran criminal lawyer Gérald Soulière on numerous files. His practice spans Highway Safety Code contraventions through to criminal charges including fraud, sexual offences, assault and drug offences, along with impaired driving matters.
