About Wendy
Wendy Best is a partner at DBB Law with a family law practice acting primarily for high-net-worth individuals and families. Called to the bar in 1980, she joined the firm in 1982 and became a partner in 1986, and was appointed King's Counsel in 1994. She was inducted as a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers in 2008 and has been named the Calgary Family Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in Canada in both 2010 and 2017. Wendy served on the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for Alberta from 2017 to 2019, chaired the Canadian Research Institute for Law and the Family for several years, and sat on the Alberta Securities Commission for six years. She has spoken for numerous judicial education and bar associations and published extensively on family law topics.
