Reid was admitted to the New Brunswick Law Society in 1975 after earning a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick. He and Brian Mosher have practised together for more than three decades, one of the longest-standing partnerships in Saint John, and Reid has tried both civil and criminal cases at all levels of court in New Brunswick, including the Provincial, Family, Trial, Appeal and Federal Courts. He has also appeared before administrative tribunals such as the Real Estate and Labour Boards, the Canada Pension Disability Board and the Workers Compensation Board. Reid is a member of the New Brunswick Law Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
