About Virginie

Virginie Vigeant is a partner in the Vancouver office of Mathews Dinsdale, where she has spent nearly twenty years supporting employers with their day-to-day workplace law needs. Her practice spans both Quebec and British Columbia and draws on experience at a national law firm, as in-house counsel for a major post-secondary institution, and as Employee Relations Manager at Seaspan ULC. Virginie advises clients in both provincial and federal jurisdictions on collective agreement interpretation, employer policies, discipline and grievance handling, and has acted as spokesperson in collective bargaining. She also supports clients through labour disputes and serves as a trusted advisor to senior management on employee relations strategy. She holds an LL.B. from the Université du Québec à Montréal and is admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia and the Barreau du Québec.
