About Vida

Vida Nelson is a lifelong Yukoner who earned her law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2015 and was called to the Yukon bar in 2016. She began her career at a local private firm, where she articled and practised in a broad range of litigation areas including family, civil, personal injury, and employment law. In 2018, Vida joined the Yukon Human Rights Commission as legal counsel, practising administrative and human rights law, and later became General Counsel, at times also serving as Acting Director. She joined Lamarche, Lang & Barrett in 2025, where she focuses on human rights law and residential and commercial real estate.
