About Amna
Amna Bhatti is a human rights and immigration lawyer at AB Law (Amna Bhatti Professional Corporation), Yukon's only immigration law firm. She's licensed to practice law in both Yukon and Alberta. Amna moved to Canada in 2016 after completing her BA-LL.B. (Hons.) at Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan, then completed an LL.M. at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017 while interning with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. She articled at Levine Associates, a boutique Toronto firm, training in family, refugee, and immigration law, and later worked with Lawyers for Human Rights in Cape Town, South Africa, and with the Yukon Human Rights Commission from 2020 to 2024. Amna is a board member of the Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition and has served on the board of the Yukon Conservation Society and as chair of the Human Rights and Constitutional Law section of the Canadian Bar Association Yukon. She's fluent in Urdu and Punjabi and focuses her practice on immigration matters including temporary and permanent residence, refugee status, and citizenship.
