About Victoria

Victoria Cohene is a partner at Lavery, a member of the firm's Litigation group focusing on family, personal and estate law. Her practice covers divorce, legal separation, separation of de facto couples, child custody, child and spousal support, division of property, name changes, grandparents' access rights, protective supervision and homologation of mandates, and estate litigation. She advises clients on contested matters and on negotiated out-of-court settlements, and has pleaded before the courts, including the Court of Appeal. She was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2013 and to the Law Society of Ontario in 2018. During her studies she interned at a legal information centre for seniors, which led to an interest in elder law and the protection of vulnerable persons. She is a certified mediator, a board member of the Association des avocates et avocats en droit familial du Québec, and a member of the Young Bar of Montreal and the Lord Reading Society.
