Before law school she earned a Master of Science in biochemistry from the University of Toronto and worked in an immunology research lab at the Hospital for Sick Children. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2008 and holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. (Hons.) from the University of Guelph.
