About Troy
Troy D. Anderson practises criminal defence law in Vancouver, having been called to the bar of British Columbia in September 1995. He earned his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law in 1994, graduating with Distinction, and served on the Law Review from 1992 to 1994. He articled with a criminal law firm in New Westminster before entering practice, and has since appeared at every level of court in British Columbia, defending charges including sexual assault and unlawful confinement. Since 1998 he has also acted from time to time as an ad hoc Crown prosecutor, handling trials such as dangerous driving causing bodily harm, robbery, and attempted murder. His defence practice covers matters ranging from motor vehicle offences and impaired driving to murder, kidnapping, and sexual assault. He has worked with the Native Courtworkers program, guest lectured in criminal law at Douglas College, and spoken to the Canadian Bar Association and the BC Continuing Legal Education Society on legal ethics and sentencing.
