About Tracey

Tracey Jackson has practised family law litigation in Vancouver for more than thirty years. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of British Columbia (1987), a Bachelor of Laws from McGill University (1992), and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto (1994), and has practised exclusively in family law since 1995. She appears regularly before the BC Supreme Court and the BC Court of Appeal, and occasionally in BC Provincial Court, and settles the large majority of her cases without proceeding to trial. Jackson has particular experience with complex asset division for high net worth clients, including cases involving asset division exceeding $500 million, and has developed an understanding of the corporate, tax, trust, and securities issues that can arise when a couple separates. She represents clients in married, common law, and same sex relationships, as well as grandparents and corporations with an interest in a family law dispute. Beyond her practice, she has taught as a sessional lecturer at the UBC Faculty of Law, written for legal publications and continuing legal education courses, and hosted a call-in radio show on CKNW called Judgment Calls featuring guest lawyers and judges. She has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association's family law subsection since 1995, and holds the Martindale-Hubbell 'Distinguished' peer review rating and a recommendation from Doyle's Guide.
