Partner at Wharton Woods Family Law
Toni Wharton practised as a criminal and family law barrister in the UK for nine years, appearing in court almost daily, before moving to Toronto in 2012. She began her Toronto career at a boutique family law firm, then became an associate and later a partner at a mid-sized firm before co-founding Wharton Woods Family Law. Toni represents clients at every stage of family law matters, negotiating and drafting marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements, and handling custody and access, child and spousal support, and property issues. She is settlement-focused but draws on her UK courtroom experience when litigation becomes necessary. Toni earned her LLB through the Law and Bar Vocational Course at the University of Northumbria in 2003 and received her NCA Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2013. She is trained as a collaborative lawyer and belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Family Law Association.
