Andersen's career in law started in Ontario, with a call to the bar in 2006, and it reached north in 2023 with admission to the bar of the Northwest Territories. The role covers both courtroom and advisory work, as a barrister and a solicitor, and Andersen holds a notary public commission as well. Law school was at the University of Ottawa, which came after an arts degree at Ryerson University where photography was the concentration.

Clients who'd rather talk things through in French or German can do that here, since Andersen speaks both along with English. Andersen was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has Danish, French and German roots, and spent a childhood moving between Montreal, Paris and Toronto. When work's done, Andersen's time goes to books, gourmet cooking and walks with a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
