About Avram Joseph

Avram Joseph is senior counsel in family law at Drake Law, helping people through every part of separation and divorce, including parenting issues, support claims and the division of property. Avram also negotiates and drafts cohabitation agreements and other domestic contracts, and works as a family mediator for the firm. Clients can work with Avram in English or French.

Law wasn't Avram's first career. After earning a Bachelor of Education at McGill, with teacher training, Avram taught high school in Montreal and York Region. Western University's law school came next, and the call to the Ontario Bar followed in 2005. Avram later spent time on the regulatory side as a Professional Regulation lawyer at the Law Society of Ontario, working on complaints of professional misconduct, then returned to private practice.
