About Salim

Salim J. Khot founded the firm in 1996 after completing the Joint Committee on Accreditation program with the Federation of Law Societies of Upper Canada in 1993 and being called to the Canadian Bar in 1995. Khot earned a B.Comm in 1985 and an LL.B in 1988, and completed the Solicitor exam through the Incorporated Law Society in 1990. Khot practised law in India as a Barrister and Solicitor from 1988 to 1992. Khot's practice covers all areas of family law, including parenting, separation, divorce, division of property, and child protection, as well as litigation, mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law. Khot also serves on the panel of the Office of the Children's Lawyer and the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services, and practices wills and estates and immigration law. Khot received the Edward J Mann Award from peers in 2021.
