About Tharsan

Tharsan Logendran is a criminal defence lawyer at Karapancev Law. He belongs to the Association of Justice and Treatment Professionals, a non-profit led by Ontario Superior Court Justice Kofi N. Barnes, supporting therapeutic justice initiatives, treatment-court access, and reform grounded in dignity and compassion. He completed his J.D. at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and took part there in the Criminal Law Mentorship program, working with both provincial and federal Crown offices in Ottawa. His academic background includes a Durham College Ontario College Diploma in Paralegal Studies, earned with Honours, and, prior to that, an Honours B.A. in Legal Studies from Ontario Tech University, where he graduated with Highest Distinction. His practice is driven by a commitment to due process and giving a voice to marginalized clients within the justice system.
