About Tharmini
Tharmini Kuhathasan is a partner at Burrison Hudani Doris LLP whose family law practice covers property division, income disputes, parenting arrangements, child support, spousal support, and divorce. She represents both common law and married spouses, negotiating and drafting domestic contracts and guiding clients through mediation and litigation before Ontario's provincial and superior courts. She has focused exclusively on family law since 2017, the same year she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario bar. She received the Greenberg Fellowship during her studies and worked as a caseworker with the university's community legal clinic. Tharmini also holds an honours B.A. in political science from York University and a master's from Western University focused on post-conflict transitional justice, and volunteers with the Barbra Schlifer Clinic and CASSA.
