About Teri
Teri Lynn Bougie joined the original Ahlstrom Wright in 1999 after receiving her law degree from the University of Alberta. Her practice is concentrated on general litigation and administrative law, with a significant portion devoted to clients in the northern territories, where she has been a member of the Northwest Territories Bar since 2000, the Nunavut Bar since 2006, and the Yukon Bar since 2008. She is an experienced counsel in residential school claims, having assisted with the Baxter National Class Action negotiations, and appears at coroner's inquests in the NWT and Alberta on behalf of bereaved families. In 2006, Teri Lynn was responsible for having part of the Family Relief Act declared unconstitutional in Alberta, and she is a past president of the Sherwood Park and District Chamber of Commerce.
