About Kelechi

Kelechi (Kaycee) Madu leads the firm as CEO and Managing Lawyer. He earned an LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Lagos in 2001 and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School in Abuja, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003 before relocating to Alberta. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2014 and was appointed King's Counsel in 2020. Before returning to private practice, he served as MLA for Edmonton-South West from 2019 to 2023, holding cabinet roles including Deputy Premier, Attorney General, Minister of Justice and Solicitor General, and Minister of Labour and Immigration. His earlier legal career included work as State Counsel in Nigeria and private practice in commercial litigation, arbitration, and corporate law; he has also volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and the Law Society of Alberta's Lawyer Referral Program.
