About Tarissa

Tarissa Peterson is a litigation associate at McDougall Gauley with courtroom experience across all levels of Saskatchewan court. Before joining the firm, she worked as in-house counsel for a major Canadian corporation, managing complex litigation internationally. She grew up in rural Saskatchewan and has travelled to more than 80 countries, including time working aboard cruise ships, an experience that informed her graduate thesis on socioeconomic conditions in the cruise industry. Tarissa earned a Bachelor of Laws with honours from the University of Kent in 2013, a graduate certificate in social justice from Harvard University in 2023, and a master's degree in international relations from Harvard in 2024. She was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2015 after obtaining a Canadian equivalency certificate in 2014.
