About Tara

Tara Ross is a partner at Boswell Employment Law, which she joined in 2023. She has over a decade of workers' compensation experience and advises employers of all sizes in both the public and private sectors, appearing regularly before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. Before representing employers, she spent nine years representing workers through a legal aid clinic, the Ontario Ministry of Labour, and the Ontario Nurses' Association, and has also worked as a Legislative Interpretation Specialist and a post-secondary paralegal program instructor. She is a frequent speaker at professional development programs, including the SOAR Conference and Ontario Bar Association events, and took part as a subject matter expert in the WSIB's 2022 Value for Money Audit conducted by KPMG. In 2025 she was recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for workers' compensation law. She is a member of the Black Female Lawyers Network, the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers.
