About Rob

Rob Boswell is the founding partner of Boswell Employment Law and has practised employer-side workers' compensation law in Ontario for 30 years. He began his career as in-house counsel at General Motors of Canada, later worked at a large Toronto employment law boutique, and has been self-employed since 2003. For 16 years he served as external prosecuting counsel to the WSIB, and he regularly appears before the WSIB and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He is a member-at-large of the WSIAT's Advisory Council representing employers and has chaired continuing legal education programs for the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario. Beyond workers' compensation, his practice covers employment and labour law, human rights, occupational health and safety, provincial offences defence, and coroner's inquests related to workplace fatalities. Best Lawyers in Canada has recognized him for workers' compensation law each year since 2008.
