Sylvia Lee practises corporate and commercial law, focusing on general counsel work for businesses, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, tax-incented investments, business formation and financing, and corporate reorganizations. She began her career at McCarthy Tetrault in Vancouver, gaining experience in corporate commercial, franchise, and securities law on matters including a major resort-property acquisition and an $800 million unit trust IPO. She later became head in-house counsel and director of legal services for Keg Restaurants Ltd., overseeing the company's legal posture across North America and managing outside counsel on leasing, franchising, and IP matters for over 25 corporate entities in 10 jurisdictions. She now practises from the Okanagan, serving clients ranging from small tech start-ups to multi-jurisdictional corporations.
