A partner based in Toronto and the Entertainment & Sports Sector Group Leader, Susan Abramovitch practises entertainment law covering music, film, television, video games, branded entertainment, sports, esports, live theatre, fine arts, book publishing, multimedia, artificial intelligence and metaverse and NFT matters. With more than 25 years in the entertainment industry, she works with prominent Canadian and international artists, companies and brands. Before joining Gowling WLG, she was head of the entertainment group at another law firm and founding partner of an entertainment law boutique, and practised at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York and Paris on international M&A and at Davis Polk and Milbank in New York. She graduated from McGill University as a gold medallist in civil and national law and clerked for Supreme Court of Canada Justice Gerard V. La Forest.
