About Stephen
Stephen Barbier is the managing partner at Goldmans LLP, with a practice centered on complex construction and commercial litigation. He handles disputes over construction defects, project delays, liens, and shareholder or partnership disagreements, along with insolvency matters, professional liability claims, and insurance subrogation. His clients include owners, developers, contractors, trades, engineers, architects, and insurers. Stephen has conducted numerous trials, summary judgment motions, injunction applications, appeals, and mediations. He writes on construction and civil litigation risk management and has spoken at industry conferences for forensic engineering and geotechnical professional groups. He graduated from York University in 1999, earned his LLB at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 2003, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2004.
