About Stephanie

Stephanie Kearns has over a decade of experience representing self-governing Indigenous governments, First Nations, and Indigenous-run organizations. She is a negotiator, researcher, and legal drafter with experience in policy development, coordinating multi-party negotiations, and drafting and enforcing Indigenous laws. She has represented Indigenous clients at environmental and utility regulatory hearings and has appeared before superior and appellate courts in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador. She clerked for the British Columbia Supreme Court and is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of the Northwest Territories, having first been called to the bar in 2010.
