About Stephanie

Stephanie Fernandes is an associate in the firm's Restructuring & Insolvency group, advising on complex domestic and cross-border corporate restructurings. She has experience acting for debtor companies, court officers, creditors, and other stakeholders in both formal proceedings and out-of-court matters. She is active in the Turnaround Management Association, serving on its NextGen and Network of Women committees, and has co-authored several articles and a chapter on Canadian restructuring law. Before joining the firm she articled and worked as an associate at a full-service national firm. She earned her LL.B. from the University of Warwick, where she took part in the Warwick Law Society and student legal initiatives, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022.
