About Stathi
Stathi Balopoulos is Litigation Counsel who was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012 and remains a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. He has appeared at the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice, and he has extensive civil trial experience conducting discoveries and mediations for civil, corporate and plaintiff personal injury clients. His work also includes matters before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and the federal tribunal handling Canada Pension Plan disability appeals. Before his call to the bar, Stathi worked as a plaintiff personal injury lawyer in Hamilton, where he gained his early trial advocacy experience, including the Court of Appeal case of Williston v. City of Hamilton. He is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association, the Peel Law Association and the Hamilton Law Association, and beyond civil litigation, he also handles criminal litigation and trials.
