Insurance LawSophie Béland was called to the Quebec Bar in 2019 and practises civil litigation, civil and professional liability, medical and hospital liability, fertility clinic professional responsibility, construction law and insurance, and labour law. Before joining Bélanger Longtin she spent two years at Quebec's Court of Appeal, first as a clerk and then as a research lawyer working with Justice Claudine Roy and other appellate judges. During her studies she conducted research for Justice Geneviève Marcotte and worked as a research assistant in Indigenous law and environmental law at Osgoode Hall Law School. Béland holds an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal (2017, Dean's Honour List) and a Juris Doctor in Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School (2018).
