About Sophia

Sophia Jette joined Alexander Holburn as a 2026 summer law student. Before law school, she studied microbiology and immunology at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2022, and went on to complete a systematic review examining the link between the gut microbiome and multiple sclerosis. She is currently a law student at the University of Calgary. During law school, she has given her time to Pro Bono Students Canada, assisting at the Emergency Protection Order office, and she held the Vice President of Finance role with Spread the Love Club, a Calgary organization that supports people experiencing homelessness. She has also worked as a research assistant to Dr. Michael Nesbitt at the Faculty of Law, contributing to written work on research security and the sentencing of terrorism-related offences in Canada.
