About Sivan

Sivan Tumarkin is National Co-Managing Partner of Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, where he leads the firm's Disability & Personal Injury Law practice nationally. He represents clients in every Canadian province except Quebec, helping people whose long-term disability benefits have been denied or terminated as well as those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic injuries, and chronic pain, and he also represents families in wrongful death claims. Before co-founding the firm, Sivan worked at a major insurance defence firm representing insurers, municipalities, and corporations, and he draws on that background to anticipate how insurers evaluate and dispute claims. He acts exclusively for plaintiffs and has litigated multi-million-dollar claims through jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations, and negotiated settlements, and he is also active as a mediator in disability and personal injury disputes. Sivan co-hosts the Disability Law Show, which airs on Global TV and CTV across Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan and on radio in Toronto, and he hosts Accident Rights on QR Calgary.
