About Simranjeet
Simranjeet Kumar is an articled student at Murphy Battista LLP on the path to becoming a licensed barrister and solicitor in British Columbia. Before relocating to Canada, he practiced law in India, primarily in civil law and arbitration, including real estate transactions, money recovery disputes, white collar crimes, contractual disputes, and mediations and out-of-court settlements. He practiced law in New Delhi before relocating to Canada in 2023 and obtained his Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2024 after completing the required equivalency examinations. Before joining Murphy Battista, he worked full-time with the Public Guardian and Trustee of British Columbia as a paralegal in the Child and Youth Services department, reviewing estate submissions on behalf of minors and incapable adults under the Wills, Estates and Succession Act. He earned a BBA LL.B (Honours) from Amity Law School in India and was called to the bar in New Delhi, India in 2014.
