About Simon

Simon Labrecque practices business law, commercial law, transactional law, and corporate taxation, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, business sales, financing, and venture capital. He has more than twenty years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, having acted for buyers and sellers including private corporations, venture capital funds, institutional funds, and Canadian and foreign investors. Simon Labrecque has also represented major securities issuers in complex transactions, including private placements and large scale international financings and acquisitions. He serves as external legal counsel to businesses across a range of industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and distribution, financial services, and real estate. His tax practice covers corporate and tax planning as well as advice on the purchase and sale of businesses. Simon Labrecque authored a book titled Selling a Business: A Multidisciplinary Checklist, covering the legal and tax aspects of selling a company.
