About Simon

Simon Kim is an associate at Lockyer Zaduk Zeeh, where he concentrates on criminal appeals while working alongside senior counsel. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours BA in Sociology, then completed a Master of Arts at the Centre of Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, researching youth perceptions of police. He earned his law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the University of Toronto Law Review and volunteered at Downtown Legal Services and Pro Bono Students Canada. Before joining LZZ, he articled at a Toronto criminal defence firm assisting senior counsel at trial and appellate levels, and later worked at another prominent defence firm focused on appeals. Simon has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and was called to the bar in 2023.
