About Simon

Simon Blais is an attorney and accredited mediator and arbitrator based in Montreal, focusing on dispute resolution in commercial, civil, labour and sports matters. He assists parties with mediation, arbitration, shareholder disputes and commercial negotiations. He earned his LL.B. from the Université de Montréal in 2006 and was called to the Bar of Quebec in 2007. He later completed an MBA at Durham University in the United Kingdom in 2011, followed by specialized mediation training at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2019 and arbitration training in 2023. Before founding his current practice, he worked with Montreal law firms representing major insurers and S&P 500 companies in litigation, and he also founded a business consulting firm in Barbados. He holds mediator and arbitrator accreditations from the Barreau du Québec, the Court of Quebec's Small Claims Division, the Institute of Mediation and Arbitration of Quebec, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada and the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
