About Shirish

Shirish Chotalia has practised immigration, employment, and human rights law in Edmonton for more than three decades, litigating cases in the Federal Court and before administrative tribunals since 1987. She is a former Chairperson of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and a former Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta. Her practice includes immigration and refugee matters, employment and human rights disputes, professional discipline defence, and mediation and arbitration. Shirish has represented clients in cases involving religious accommodation, workplace discrimination, and family sponsorship, and has received recognition from several community organizations for her advocacy work. She also acts as a mediator, arbitrator, and notary public.
