About Sheryl

Sheryl L. Johnson is a partner who joined Sullivan Mahoney LLP in 2019 as part of its Employment and Labour Law Group. She advises employers on the full spectrum of workplace issues, including executive compensation, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, severance and wrongful dismissal, workplace policies, and human rights and privacy obligations. On the labour side, she represents management in union certification drives, unfair labour practice applications, collective bargaining, and grievance arbitration, with particular experience in construction labour law. Sheryl wrote a book on sexual harassment prevention and testified as an expert witness before a parliamentary committee on workplace violence. She earned her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997 and a labour studies degree from McMaster University, and she was named to the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada.
