About Sheldon

Sheldon Toner is licensed to practise in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, with a practice covering employment, human rights, and administrative law. He has participated in environmental regulatory proceedings, Indigenous government elections, and investigations into alleged ethical violations, taking matters across the North from small communities to trial and appellate courts. His recent work has focused on workplace and human rights disputes and coroner's inquests, where he has acted as advocate, investigator, mediator, and adjudicator. He also mentors and instructs others involved in administrative justice. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria (1996) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from McGill University (1992), and operates as Sheldon Toner Law Professional Corporation.
