About Scott
Scott Cordell is a founding lawyer of Killam Cordell Rondeau, where he has practised insurance and commercial litigation for nearly 30 years. After graduating from Queen's University's law school in 1994, he was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1995 and began his career at Killam, Whitelaw & Twining, then one of BC's largest insurance defence firms. In 1999 he and James Killam, K.C. left to start Killam Cordell, which grew into one of the province's leading litigation boutiques. Scott defends professionals including lawyers, engineers, architects, real estate brokerages, property managers, and geoscientists, and has extensive experience with coverage disputes and complex commercial litigation, including work during BC's leaky condo crisis. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Western Ontario and worked as a software engineer at IBM before moving into law. Since 2018 he has been recognized by Best Lawyers as a leader in insurance law, legal malpractice law, and professional malpractice law.
