About Scarlett
Scarlett was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019 and gained extensive litigation and trial experience practicing criminal law before joining Neuman Thompson, including several years working for a well-known Edmonton criminal defence lawyer and time with the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service, where she conducted trials in the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench, including high-profile homicide and online child exploitation cases. She later worked as an associate at a mid-size Edmonton firm focused on insurance defence litigation. Scarlett earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta's School of Business and graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2018, where she competed in the MacIntyre/Sopinka Trial Advocacy Moot. She now serves as a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, coaching students for that same moot. Scarlett is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers.
