About Sara

Sara Balagh is an associate in the firm's Labour and Employment Department. Born in Afghanistan, she earned her Bachelor of Laws there and practised for two years before travelling to the United States on a Fulbright award to complete a Master of Laws, with Distinction, in International Business and Economic Law at Georgetown University. She articled with Weaver, Simmons and was called to the bar in July 2022. Her practice covers wrongful dismissal, employment contracts, workplace investigations, and employment standards for employers, and she also represents landlords before the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board. She is fluent in Farsi, Pashto, and Urdu.
