About Samuel

Bachand takes on specific and occasional mandates with Daigneault, avocats inc. in environmental law, with a particular interest in hydric environments and fisheries resources. He also has significant experience in administrative and constitutional law, regulatory penal law, municipal law and general civil litigation, having pleaded at trial and on appeal before all of Quebec's courts, the Federal Court of Canada, and various disciplinary and administrative tribunals, and having drafted briefs for the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court, the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, the National Assembly and the Senate. From 2012 to 2016 he coached McGill University's team for the Bora Laskin moot in administrative and constitutional law, and from 2012 to 2020 he taught public freedoms, legal writing and advocacy, and common law tort at the Universite de Montreal.
