About Ryan

Ryan Millar was called to the bar in July 2024 and works as an associate at Roulston Urquhart Criminal Defence. He articled at Student Legal Assistance, a pro bono legal clinic serving low income Calgarians, and during his third year of law school clerked at the Alberta Court of Justice, shadowing justices in criminal, civil, and family law. He has acted for clients on charges ranging from drug trafficking and fraud to violent offences and attempted murder. He is a Reserve Officer with the Royal Canadian Navy and sits on the board of directors of Pivot Society, a non-profit supporting people affected by addiction, gang involvement, and incarceration.
