About Andrea

Andrea M. Urquhart, KC is senior counsel at Roulston Urquhart Criminal Defence, practicing through an independently owned and operated professional corporation. Her practice covers serious criminal allegations including murder, complex drug offences, firearm charges, sexual offences, and domestic assaults, and she also represents clients in professional regulatory proceedings before bodies such as CPA Alberta, the Real Estate Council of Alberta, and health and engineering regulators. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calgary in 2010 and an Honours degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta. Before practicing criminal law she served as a law clerk to the Provincial Court of Alberta from 2010 to 2011. She was named Lawmaker of the Year in 2025 by the Criminal Defence Lawyers' Association (Calgary) and was appointed King's Counsel in 2026. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Alberta Criminal Defence Lawyers Association.
