About Ross

Ross Romano is a senior associate at Spadafora Johnson Lepore LLP, called to the Ontario bar in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice from Algoma University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor. His practice covers civil and criminal litigation along with corporate, real estate, municipal and development, and wills and estates matters. Earlier in his career he worked as staff duty counsel with Legal Aid Ontario, as an assistant Crown attorney, and as a municipal prosecutor. He later served as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie starting in 2017, holding cabinet posts including Minister of Colleges and Universities, and has since been appointed King's Counsel. He received Algoma University's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2024 and the King Charles III Coronation Medal, and coaches with the Sault Youth Soccer Club.
