Criminal DefenceRon Chisholm has practiced law in Truro, Nova Scotia for more than 25 years, focusing on workplace accidents and personal injury, separation and divorce, and motor vehicle accidents. He articled with Patterson Kitz, worked as an associate for three years, then founded the partnership Yuill Chisholm Law Firm in 1991, building a practice in civil, criminal and divorce litigation along with a real estate practice. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar on October 17, 1988. Chisholm represented former residents of the Nova Scotia School for Girls in an institutional abuse matter that led to the provincial Stratton Inquiry, and served as a per diem Crown prosecutor for youth court in Shubenacadie from 1993 to 1994. He has been an executive member of the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission and was inducted into the Truro Sports Heritage Hall of Fame in 2015 for his work helping build the Cougar Dome recreational facility.
