About Romina
Romina Hallan is an associate at Jain Immigration Law practicing across all areas of Canadian immigration law. She has guided clients through judicial reviews of negative decisions and has appeared before the Immigration Appeal Division and the Refugee Protection Division. Her work covers labour market impact assessments, spousal sponsorships involving inadmissibility, humanitarian and compassionate applications, refugee claims, and judicial review, and she has succeeded in overturning an RPD decision on appeal by identifying flaws in credibility findings. Romina holds an honours B.A. in criminology from York University and completed a dual law degree through the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy in 2022, before being called to the bar in March 2024. Prior to joining the firm, she articled and practiced at a boutique immigration firm in Toronto, and was named to the 2025 Toronto's Top Lawyers List.
