About Roger
Roger Song practices wills and estates law, real estate law, and corporate law, and advises Canadian clients on business development and transactions with Chinese companies and investors. He has more than 20 years of legal experience spanning academic teaching, corporate in-house counsel, and private practice in Canada, mainland China, and Hong Kong, including roles as a lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Calgary, legal director for energy projects in China with Pacific Oil & Gas Limited and RGM Group, legal counsel at Mirant Asia-Pacific Limited in Hong Kong, and lecturer of international law at Peking University. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1996 and the Alberta Bar in 2014, holding a Bachelor of Law and Master of Law from Peking University, an LL.M. from New York University, and a J.D. from the University of Calgary. Roger continued the practice of J. Allen Howard beginning January 1, 2019, after Howard retired following 48 years of legal practice since 1970, and serves as Executive Director of the Council of Alberta Lawyers.
