Family LawRobert Poitras completed his law degree at Université de Montréal in 1981 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1982. For more than 35 years he has focused his practice on family law and youth law, representing clients in divorce, legal separation, custody, child support, youth protection and adoption matters. He has been extensively involved with the Barreau de Bedford and the Barreau du Québec, serving as bâtonnier of the Barreau de Bedford from 2005 to 2006, on the Barreau du Québec's board of directors from 2015 to 2016, and on its private practice committee. He has also sat on the boards of the Association des centres jeunesse du Québec, the Centre jeunesse de la Montérégie, the Fondation du Centre hospitalier de Granby and the Société d'arthrite. He accepts both private and legal aid mandates.
