Employment & Labour LawEric Bertrand practises civil, commercial and corporate law as well as immigration and employment law, serving both French- and English-speaking clients as counsel and in court. He earned his LL.B. from Université de Sherbrooke in 2000, then continued his studies in France, earning a master's degree in European law from Université de Grenoble II and a graduate diploma (DEA) in international trade law from Université Paris X-Nanterre. He was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2004. Bertrand articled with the International Labour Office in Geneva and briefly worked there as junior legal counsel before returning to Canada, where he first practised American and Canadian immigration law and later founded his own general practice. He has appeared before the Court of Québec, the Superior Court, the Federal Court and several specialized tribunals.
